Ingredients:

 5 screwpine/ pandan leaves

250ml water

300g glutinous rice flour

2 pieces palm sugar (cut into small pieces)

sufficient water for boiling

mixed

1/2 grated coconut (grated white part)

Salt to taste

How to cook:

  1. Blend pandan leaves in 250ml water; strain.
  2. Gradually pour pandan juice into flour; mix to form a pliable dough.
  3. Pinch a small amount of dough; create a dent in the centre.
  4. Place a piece of palm sugar in it; seal to form a small round ball
  5. Repeat the process until remaining dough is used up.
  6. Bring water to the boil; put in the dough balls
  7. When dough balls rise to the surface, remove from heat.
  8. Roll balls in salted, grated coconut. .


To serve:

 Serve on a serving plate
